Aurora borealis

So much to say today!

If you are in the Northern Hemisphere, you need to go stand outside tonight and look up. Why? Because there is a chance that the Northern Lights will be totally bananas (and visible in many places where they would not usually be).

Basically, the sun burped (solar flare) and sent charged particles out that are now co-mingling with particles in our atmosphere. The Northern Lights are supposedly going to put on quite the show tonight and tomorrow night.

  1. Oh I was so excited about this! I was all set with my camera to take amazing photos of the aurorae in Ireland, and just as it got dark, the sky completely clouded over! Typical! Hope you got a good show!
