Sometimes, I'm not sure whether I'm more jealous of Colin Meloy because he gets to be married to Carson Ellis (one of my favourite illustrators) or Carson Ellis because she gets to be married to Colin Meloy (one of my favourite musicians). After hearing these new Decemberists songs, I think I'm more jealous of Carson today.
KEXP in Seattle posted these videos of Colin's visit last month to the Ace Hotel in NYC. It includes their first single off the upcoming new album (Down by the Water) plus two new songs. Here is my favourite from the bunch.
