Thumbs up for Thums Up

Last Tuesday, on my last day in Vancouver, I met my sister at the Himalayan on Main for lunch. I had read about it on Vancouver is Awesome, and if I am being completely honest, I really just wanted to get a Thums Up. Remember on Eat, Pray, Love when Richard from Texas says, "You need a Thums Up" to Liz? Yeah, that Thums Up. And it was great.

I liked it much better than your ordinary bottle of cola. It tastes kind of like if you put some Sweet Tarts in Coke but with the faintest hint of spice as well. You can also buy them down the street at the Punjab Market.

Aside from the Thums Up (which would have made my meal regardless of if the food was good or not) we had the really great lunch buffet. There was also a long display of lovely Indian sweets but alas, my sister and I were too full to enjoy these by the end of our meal.

  1. I was in Vancouver for the first time a few years ago. There were so many fun things to see and do. I wish I would have had more time there.

    Pretty blog!

  4. Oh, that Thums Up! I'd love to try one.

Whatever the green stuff is (I'm guessing something pistachio-related??) in the bottom photo, I want some of that, too.
