L IS FOR LOLLYGAG

Every now and then I'll arrive at work and my boss will have left a book from her massive collection on my desk that she thinks I will enjoy (or Sour Patch Kids). Yesterday when I arrived, this beautiful thing was sitting on top of my laptop. L is for Lollygag slipped under my radar when it was published by Chronicle Books in 2008. It is full of quirky illustrations by Melinda Beck and old etchings paired with silly words and their definitions. (I learned that "happenstance" is a real word, and not just something made up for Dr. Horrible)
