THIS IS A TOWN

Last week I fell head over heels down the vintage children's book rabbit hole. Hours were consumed criss-crossing the internet from one tumblr, to another flickr, to this blog, and so on. Here are a few illustrations from one of my favourite finds, This is A Town. Written by Polly Curren, illustrated by Robert J. Lee, and originally published in 1957. I adore all of the quirky characters as well as the neutral palette with pop colours.
