AMANDA McCAVOUR

Amanda McCavour's stitched drawings caught my eye while I was perusing the Uppercase blog a couple of weeks ago. She creates these incredible pieces by stitching onto water-soluble fabric repeatedly until a sturdy image has been built up and then dissolves the fabric so that the thread image remains. You can see more images of her artwork as well as read her artists statement right here.

  1. WOAH! What incredible, mesmerising textile artwork - they are so delicate, detailed and fine. Like a spider web. Great technique, very interesting to know how these works were created. I'm off to check out Amanda's website immediately! Katie. xxx
