Oh the wonders of not having to worry about homework and finals at this time of year. Frees up time on the weekend for things like Art vs Craft! It's been a couple of years since I've been to the annual Milwaukee holiday craft fair. For those not from the Milwaukee area, Art vs Craft was started eight years ago by local artist, gallery curator, and director of Handmade Nation Faythe Levine. Inspired by Renegade in Chicago, she wanted to bring a similar experience to Milwaukee. The event brings together creatives from all over the midwest and beyond for one day each holiday season and is a great opportunity to support small business and pick up some cool one-of-a-kind gifts. If you couldn't make it to the event on Saturday, I put together a quick recap of some of my favourite sellers:
The Little Friends of Printmaking | This talented Milwaukee-based husband & wife duo are always a favourite of mine. Their intricate and colourful screenprints are always an inspiration.

innad | Danni Trester, a textile designer from Madison, is the creative behind the label innad. She was selling gorgeous bi-fold and tri-fold wallets and chequebook covers, all of which made from gorgeously patterned fabrics. I seriously wanted one of each but settled for a chequebook cover and a bi-fold wallet (which I plan on using as a business card holder). website // shop
Ex Libris Anonymous | Jacob Deatherage creates these one-of-a-kind sketchbooks from vintage repurposed books. He salvages the covers and selected pages from each book and adds acid free paper that is great for sketching or journaling. Abi has been using these sketchbooks for years and I picked one up for myself on Saturday! website // twitter // tumblr // facebook // flickr
Beth Eaton Pottery | I was so glad to see Beth at Art vs Craft. I fell in love with her pottery earlier this year at the Fernwood sale that I participated in and couldn't wait to pick up a piece of her beautiful stamped pottery.
